Some of us still like to bring a bit of elegance to entertaining.  Here we offer up this beautiful Goldfeder Silver Co. covered entree dish , some may prefer to call it a covered vegetable server.  This company produced high quality silverplated pieces from 1932 to about 1957. Although these are mid-century made pieces the design takes us back to a grander era.  The bowl part measures 14" by 11", the lid fits nicely onto the bowl.  The finial is loose but we have found that a small piece of tissue placed between the sections can be hidden from sight and will make a comfortable tight connection.
This has been polished with silver cream, washed in warm sudsy water, rinsed, dried and comes to you table ready.  Tarnish can hide wear and we want you to see exactly what you are buying. Plus polishing silver can be an unpleasant chore so we took care of that for you.  Store you silver away from air, place it in soft cloth bags and you'll find the shine will last much longer.
No pesky monogram, does show bits of wear, and could use a better polish in some minor areas if you are fussy.  The worst spot of wear in in the bowl (which would be covered by food so it would most likely remain unseen by your guests, and if you pay your maid well enough she isn't likely to tattle).
