    Description
    This is an ORIGINAL TCW "Team" Super brand cigarette lighter typical of those sold to GI's in Post Exchanges ("PX's") during WWII and into the post-War period.  The lighter is in VERY GOOD condition externally and has the insigne of U.S. First Army and "Ft. Dix, NJ" below it on a nickel plate finish. Unlike most lighters with a wheel or plunger mechanism to operate the flint, TCW utilized a "squeeze" mechanism on the side (see image below).  The lighter's wick and lighter fluid refills are accomplished by pulling out the reservoir from the bottom of the lighter (see image below). The lighter may be functional after filling it with lighter fluid and inserting a new flint. The side of the lighter is stamped "TEAM" Super/Austria with the TCW hallmark.  One eBay listing indicated TCW lighters were manufactured by Lindauf Jakob of Vienna, Austria.
    This is just the personal item for an advanced militaria collector or a re-enactor's "impression" or a foot locker display.  The buyer will have my usual unconditional guarantee of authenticity and a five-day (
    not the 14-days that they insert in my listings without my consent
    ) right of inspection and return/refund privilege, excluding postage.
