Nice 1960's Al Kaline Wilson A2224 USA baseball glove USA Detroit Tigers w/patch

Here is a late 1960's era USA made Wilson Al Kaline Model A2224 baseball glove for a RH thrower. Kaline was a right handed thrower. The glove is adult size and my adult hand fits in it fine. It measures 12" long through the pocket.
Stamped on the front is Action Web, Grip-Tite Pocket. Al Kaline (facsimile signature), Snap Action, A2224,
Wilson and Made in USA. T
he back of the glove is stamped Made in USA, Nylon Stitched, Hold Tite Strap, Pat. Des. 207088 and a couple of US Patent Numbers: 2231204, 2722007 and Canada 398340-1941. It has a nice black & gold Wilson Made in U.S.A. cloth patch on the backstrap. I don't see the glove in any of my Wilson catalogs I have but is has the look and feel of a reasonably quality adult glove. The leather is nice and soft.
This glove is part of the Controller line of gloves had a 2" wide strip of leather sewn across the bottom of the finger slots to better hold your fingers in place. There are separate slots for all 4 fingers.
There is a small owners name (MEL) written in marker just to the right of the Wilson patch on the backstrap. The Wilson patch on the backstrap is pretty nice. Soft and flexible exterior and interior leather, with no chafing on the interior leather. The leather lacing is original and intact. The leather piping is also soft and in nice condition. The stamping on the glove is all readable. The adult glove feels great on the hand.
Al Kaline is a MLB Hall of Famer (inducted in 1980). He played his entire career from 1953-1974 for the Detroit Tigers.  He was a right handed thrower. He was an 18 time All-Star. He was part of the Tigers 1968 World Series team that won it all by beating the St. Louis Cardinals. He won 10 Gold Gloves as an outfielder and won the 1955 AL batting title.
I have other gloves and mitts on eBay ending now and I like to combine shipping whenever possible. If you win more than one glove you'll have to pay the grand total for shipping. But I'll refund you the difference back on the price of combined shipping. Or I'll send out an invoice if possible.
