Description

Good playing and physical condition Martin Committee II 'Lion & Crown' Alto on offer. The serial number 142,6XX, with matching neck and body, dates the horn to 1941--relatively late in the brief pre-WWII production run.
The Comm. II features good pads with flat metal riveted resonators that seal well from low Bb to high F. The action of the horn is very light in the hand--feels good under finger.
The horn features a well worn (re)lacquer but the over all engraving and body are in good shape with minimal dings, dents and no obvious re-soldering work.
The adjustable right-hand thumb rest operates properly and tightens down well. The neck of the horn presents in excellent condition, seals well with the saxophone body and shows no evidence of past pull down.
The Comm. II Alto will ship in a contoured, like new, "Wolfpak" gig bag that fits the horn well.
The horn will ship with an original body plug, neck and saxophone body plus case only.
As with any horn, setup to taste should be budgeted for in addition to the purchase price. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions before purchase.
