    Description

Up for auction is this Korg CX-3 Combo Organ, the Serial number is 000549.
    This is the
    Digital
CX-3, which was launched in 2001, and has two sets of drawbars and not just one, MIDI, a superb Leslie Rotary Speaker simulation, and other features that the prior version of the CX-3 (the analog version produced from 1979) lacked.
It has a single 61-key (5 octave) keyboard which can easily be split into two zones representing the upper and lower keyboards of a HammondB-3, with each zone being controlled by its own set of drawbars.
The thing about this instrument is that it sounds awesome, very faithful to the sound of a "real" Hammond B-3 and Leslie Speaker!
Please note that this is a dedicated Hammond B-3 Clone, meaning it doesn’t have any other onboard sounds, although it CAN control other keyboards and sound modules through it’s MIDI port.
This was originally owned and played by Rob from the very good musical trio
    We B-3
(a link to some songs recorded at a gig where this Korg was played can be furnished upon request).
The instrument was then purchased by me in 2013 and played in Church for Christian Worship Music until just a few months ago.
The functional condition is excellent, with what I will call a pretty good physical condition.
There are a few scratches and dings, but nothing that affects playability (nor aesthetic appearance to any great extent).
All the original knobs, buttons, keys, and drawbars are perfectly intact and fully functional.
Some of the pictures show some of these physical “scratches and dings”, which include some depressions in the wood-grained particleboard bottom edges, particularly the bottom of the left end, as well as a scratch in the metal panel in front of the drawbars (which didn’t completely penetrate the finish), and perhaps most notably, damage in the front panel below the keyboard just to the left of middle C.
In my opinion these close up photos make these instances of “evidence of use” look worse than they really are, and are minimally noticeable in normal observation.
Included with the keyboard is a Gator well-padded rolling case (model GK-61) in fair condition (one of the two zippers on the lid is more or less stuck, but the other one works fine), a spare padded gig bag (no wheels), the original Korg expression pedal, (replacement cable spliced in to replace a short in the original one), an approximately 8-ft long power cable, and the original printed owner’s manual.
Please note that a keyboard stand is NOT included in this package.
I promise that at the time of posting this listing the keyboard is fully operational and in the condition described and depicted, but please understand that it is a used item and being sold “as-is” with no returns being accepted after sale.
