    Description

Hammond XB3 Organ With Two 122XB Leslies.
Up for sale is my Hammond XB3 touring rig with two Leslie 122XB speakers, plus all cables and covers. You can't get these new anymore.  Has MIDI in and out and thru. Excellent MIDI capability- you can split keyboards in half and layer three deep.   Has polyphonic aftertouch, which I used to turn the Leslies on and off.  I used a midi bass module for left hand bass.  This set is ready to run, just hook up and play.  I am the original owner, purchased it new at Altenburg Piano & Organ in Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1996.  This same organ has been on stage with me performing with Buddy Miles, Percy Sledge, my own wedding band, and recently Victor Wainright.  It has some normal signs of wear and tear from being on the road, but it is in remarkably good shape because I took good care of it.  It always traveled tightly packed in my own van, and I did all the loading and unloading.  It was faithfully maintained by Altenburg Piano & Organ.  The most recent work done was new tubes in both Leslies just a few months ago.  The whole rig works perfectly, all the keys, buttons, switches- everything.  The covers are custom made and padded.   The dollies you see in the photos are NOT included (I need them for my other Hammond).   For local pick, but you may arrange for your own freight company to ship it.
About Me: I am a lifelong, career Hammond organist, started playing professionally at age 16 in 1963. In 1968 I was with Group Therapy on RCA Victor Records. I was fortunate to hook up with Jimi Hendrix and was part of his new, bigger band project 8 months before he passed away. I then recorded with Noel Redding at Electric Ladyland.  I stayed a working musician until the 90's when I became music director for Buddy Miles and also Percy Sledge.  There are thousands of gigs in between, but those are just some highlights. I am currently in Florida working on the beach.
