This auction is for
a 1967 Criterion Dynascope (USA) 6.7 pound counterweight for the RV6 and RV8 equatorial mounts. It will come with the original standard locking screw.
Dimensions:  4.01-inches tall x 3.10-inches wide
Central bore:  1.09-inches
Materials:  cast iron weight and steel set screw
Weight:  6 pounds 11 ounces
This is the older variant of the standard counterweight. Not only does it state "CRITERION 100" on the side, the shape of the weight is completely circular. In the mid 1970s and until the end of the Real Value era, the counterweight would state only "Criterion" or there would be nothing AND the shape of the weight had flat side (never knew why they did this other than to save costs).
The weight will fit to counterweight shafts in the 1.01-inch to 0.97-inch size range; so it is universal to many classic reflector equatorial mounts and will work on a few more modern ones of today. Check the size and see, but it will feel most at home on another Criterion mount.
