Conn C melody Vintage Saxophone from 1914

Description

This is a Conn, Elkhart, Indiana C-Melody Saxophone with a patent label from 1914.
I walked into the Sam Ash sheet music and woodwinds section on 34th street in NYC, as an excited repair tech emerged from their shop just after servicing this very horn as it was potentially over 100 years old and in excellent shape. They began to play it behind the sales desk and it sounded as brilliant as it looked so I bought it immediately. If you are looking for a rich sound in key of C, this is it.
