A substantial Birks silver plated ornate oval covered casserole or vegetable dish with an elegant highly designed removable handle is available for your collecting pleasure.  It will add style and elegance to your holiday table.  The raised applied borders of dots repeat the larger dots on the handle which also has a base decorated with highly detailed design work.  It is elegant.
This vintage dish is in very good condition.  There are some fine polishing lines throughout, but not noticeable because of the high mirror polish. The lid has one extremely shallow 1/4" long dent which you can see the photo.  It is almost something you have to feel, rather than see.  These are barely noticeable, except on nose to the metal inspection. Any strange colors and black blobs are reflections of my camera and clothing and are not on the lid.
Inside the dish, there is one small (1/8") chip in the plating and a black raised dot of metal on the interior of the rim which may have been a 1/4" manufacturing defect.  It certainly does not interfere with the beauty of this dish.  It is a dish you'll be proud to put on your table.
