Very nice older Leblanc Paris France "Symphonie" Bb Clarinet Outfit.  Serial number is 552A - stamped on both body joints. Circa 1950-55 based on the little bit of available online information.  If anyone has any factual information as to a manufacturing date, I'll update the ad.
This clarinet was traded in to us for repair work to another instrument.  Now fresh out of the repair shop with a complete professional repad, cleaning & set-up, it's a beautiful playing vintage clarinet.  Body is grenadilla which is in beautiful shape - pretty much flawless except for a small chip in the barrel near upper ring.  No other cracks, gouges or flaws in the wood.  Now that said, the original barrel has been repaired to fill-in/conceal a hole that was drilled through to the bore for (what I believe) what was a microphone port hook-up.  It is hardly noticeable now repaired (epoxy resin & grenadilla dust) and is smooth to the touch.  Internal bore is also smooth so that there is no impedance to performance.  Tenon caps/rings are secure and in good shape.  Insignia logo depth and color is pretty much all intact on the body joints, however is faded somewhat on the bell and barrel.  Keys were polished to restore the shine - believed to be nickel plated.  Plating is intact with no visible wear or issues.
Comes with it's original case; wood-shell design with a suede-style greenish/brown color.  Case is itself is in excellent condition - no tears, smell nor damage; just slight discoloration to hardware.  The handle is functional, but the ends has frayed exposing the metal loops.  Also comes with a Vandore-style ABS mouthpiece, an original period Leblanc ligature and a suitable metal cap.  Again this instrument is ready to play and needs nothing.  Plays very well and tuning is within spec. using a strobe tuner.
