  • Condition: Antique Sudanese Islamic sword in fair condition. Signs of aging and wear. Sword is complete. Some signs of tears in the leather on the scabbard. This was a functional sword and was used as such, possibly in combat.

    Description

    Antique Sudanese Islamic African TUAREG Tribal Sword with tooled leather scabbard. Full length 36" and blade length is 31" inches. Total weight of the sword is 2lb 2oz. Cross guard is leather over iron and so is the handle. Iron and brass decorated pommel. Dates to the period of the British Sudan Campaign 1881-1898. This sword is a real piece of history and not a tourist souvenir sword.
