  • Condition: In only fair well used condition,it has normal wear marks here and there, it has 1 guard missing and one guard is missing 1 leg see the pictures, and the bell rim is slightly bent. It comes with possibly the original finish with about average wear, likely the original case included. Pads are well used and some are very old but the tech says they are in useable condition, it was recently serviced to address only the issues that would prevent it from being playable and a few pads were replaced, it was serviced by a woodwinds tech, it was light tested & it was regulated & it was given a passing report and ready for casual play. The Micro tuner neck only moves 1/8 of a turn. And the octave bar is bent. If you want a sax that is ready for prime time or one that will be played often then this will likely need more service to meet those standards. Take a good look at pics and feel free to ask questions. Comes with no ligature or mouthpiece or MP cover. Absolutely Sold as is !!!

    Description

    1924 CONN NEW WONDER SERIES I ALTO SAXOPHONE,  CHU BERRY ERA WITH THE MICRO TUNER NECK IT HAS BEEN  RECENTLY SERVICED, A FEW NEW PADS, REGULATED  AND  ADJUSTED !!  IT HAS NOT BEEN FULLY REBUILT NOR HAVE ALL OF THE PADS BEEN REPLACED ONLY THOSE PADS THAT WERE NOT SEALING WERE REPLACED.  TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THIS ONE  !
    This is a nice used sax  in what I think is the original finish. The lacquer finish on this has some  scratches, and normal wear I would say the finish is at approx.  80% or better actually fairly nice for and instrument of its age it is 96 years old. It has a few minor dings no big dents. The octave bar is bent but still working. One guard is missing, one guard has one leg missing and most of  the pads are old and very used I only had the pads that were missing or not sealing replaced .  These things I mentioned are only what I see you might find something else that I simply did not see that does not consitute a reason for a return I am selling this in the condition it is in to the best of my knowledge.    If I can answer any questions please contact me.     Just to be perfectly clear once again this is and old Instrument it was repaired only to make it playable it is not fully restored or refinished if you need and instrument as a daily player or even for a student instrument this may likely need more repair to meet many
    players or teachers standards but it was repaired and i heard it played  and it is sold as is.
